On February 13, 2017, Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, were hiking on the Delphi Historic Trail near the Monon High Bridge just east of Delphi, Indiana. Libby and Abby were reported missing to police after their parents were unable to locate them at the pick-up location after their hike, which was under two hours. Volunteers subsequently discovered the girls’ bodies in the woods off the historic trail system the following day, on February 14. Very little information about the girls' murders has been released to the public, and not much is known about the crime scene or what evidence investigators have. Although there is video and audio of the killer taken by one of the girls, their case remains unsolved to this day.
